The Challenge of Travel in Africa

Travel is a powerful experience—one that broadens horizons, fuels economies, and fosters cultural exchange. But for many Africans, travel remains a significant challenge. Exploring the continent or venturing beyond is often complicated by logistical barriers, high costs, and insufficient infrastructure.

Beyond these physical challenges, there’s also a psychological hurdle: the idea of travel can feel overwhelming or out of reach. For many, limited resources and inadequate travel systems make exploring the world seem like a distant dream.

While travel within and between Western countries is relatively straightforward, the African travel landscape is marked by steep costs, limited accessibility, and complicated payment processes. These barriers hinder not just individual exploration but also economic growth and cultural exchange across borders.

Why Trickkkle?

Trickkkle exists to solve two fundamental travel challenges: payments and ease.

In Africa, the current payment landscape forces many travelers to rely on foreign currencies, such as USD, GBP, or EUR. These currencies are often difficult to access, creating a significant barrier to international travel. For instance, a Nigerian traveler booking a flight to Europe must often navigate complicated processes just to pay in a foreign currency.

Coupled with this financial hurdle is the overwhelming task of planning a trip. Researching flights, accommodations, activities, and creating an itinerary can feel like a daunting, time-consuming process. These challenges often discourage people from embarking on trips, even when the desire to explore is there.

Our Vision: Empowering African Travelers

At Trickkkle, we envision a world where every African can travel freely—starting with the ability to pay for trips in their own currency. A Kenyan booking a trip to Mexico should be able to pay in Kenyan Shillings, just as a Ghanaian planning a journey to South Africa should face no hurdles with currency conversions.
